For some crazy reason I thought this was going to happen at the annual renewal, but it came 2 months into having the card, all excited, ripped open the envelope...to see it's not good in Hawaii - DRAT!!! (not good in Bahrain either, but that's, um, not a problem).

But I have a question (well, a couple)...I've tried putting "SPG50" into the Promotions Code box, and get the error message...do I SERIOUSLY have to call? To say "check this hotel for these dates"..."ok, now check for these dates"..."now these dates"..."let's try THIS hotel for these dates"..."how about THIS hotel for THESE dates"...

Am I missing something as to how to check what 50% off "rack rate" might be...Yes, I know what "rack rate" means, but it's never listed...

Am I wasting my time with this pseudo "gift"?
