AA doesn't even pretend to have a hub in SFO, so there's no reason for them to fly internationally from there.

They do, however, pretend to have a hub in JFK, so their international route network from there is rather disappointing (Europe especially so), particularly compared to their key global competitors in the market CO and DL.
