Though I decided against it (for convenience sake), the US CS rep offered the following itinerary for just 80k (econ):
PHL-LAX-BKK (open jaw)
HAN-BKK-FRA-PHL
I decided to cut out the FRA and instead take HAN-SIN-LAX-PHL.
Here's my question... Why do people go for these "RTW" trips when they've booked award tickets? Is there really any advantage? Sure, you're going with $$ the EQMs or just regualar miles earned could be great, but on award tix...I just don't get it. Any help on understanding this one?
THANKS!
Some FTers like to sample different airplanes, airlines, airports, etc.
EDIT: Never mind, I thought HAN was Hanover instead of Hanoi.
