in an effort to burn my evouchers, I am considering booking a V fare and hoping for the best that my upgrades waitlist requests will clear (otherwise this would be the 1st time flying LH Eco again since 2001).

The agent on the phone told me the following, can anyone confirm this:
Waitlists are processed by status and by when joined Waitlist, but not by booking class. I.e. after processing all HONs, SENs who have been on the waitlist the longest will come first.

I am a SEN, and the flight is currently C9 D0 Z0, and its about one month out. Do you think given that, I have a fair shot if I booked this in V and immediately added myself to the upgrade waitlist for evoucher upgrading? Or do you think the chance of me getting a seat when considering additional revenue customers, and HONs / SENs that have been waitlisted before me, is rather small?

Looking at the C seatmap for the flight in question, I can see 15 empty seats in C, however, some people might hold reservations without seats obviuosly. The flight is on a Thursday, from the US to Germany.
