The problem is that most of this thread is not about whether $200 in Delta dollars is enough compensation. Some posters said no way was this a FAM bump. Oops, none said "sorry" for slamming me for my educated guess that this was a FAM situation beyond Delta's control. Others accused Delta of causing this problem through "shoddy customer service" Delta was also wrongly accused of kicking them off the plane, and all sorts of other (dare I say the word) Shenanigans. Interestingly, the escalation into fanciful hyperbole was not by the OP, whose postings were factual and very reasonable.
