FWIW, had the same thing happen a week or two ago when I called after not being able to check fare rules or cancellation policy online (I use a Mac computer; the links provided were Javascript-based and simply wouldn't open.)
Delta *does* have an online chat client. In my case the answer was "Delta.com isn't Mac compatible" - despite the verbiage
here.
I share your relief that I don't have to fly DL all that often. Come on - there are tens of millions of Macintosh users at this point in time and it's just not that hard to make a link HTML based, not Java. I'm not about to buy a ticket on DL without seeing the fare rules, since their change fees are punitively high.
Anyway, you might try the chat client. Upside is you can save and print out a copy of whatever they tell you.
Edited to add: Although, the chat client seems to migrate from page to page. It's not listed in Site Map or the Contact Us pages. I finally found it on this page:
https://www.delta.com/planning_reser...eeds/index.jsp
It's a little pop up box that says "Questions? Agents available now CHAT LIVE" Good luck!
