celebrity n 1: a widely known person; "he was a baseball celebrity" [syn: famous person] 2: the state or quality of being widely honored and acclaimed [syn: fame, renown] [ant: infamy].

Anyways, I received a detailed call from the SE desk this afternoon, and they have confirmed the following: UA 'H' = AC 'V', UA 'M' = AC 'H' & AC 'B'. UA 'V' is always AC 'Q', 'L', or 'N'.

Furthermore, sometimes a UA 'H' can also be an AC 'Q', but not very often, so if you're offered an H fare, then double-check before booking it to make sure it's upgradeable.

Learn something every day. I looked back through my records and can find no less than 8 instances where I was upgraded on a UA codeshare 'V' class ticket. I have to assume this is a recent development, otherwise it would have come up before. Upgrading UA codeshare flights is fully acceptable on AC, but the disadvantage is that you can only do it standby at the airport.
