I used the member rewards to pay for airline tickets via "pay with points". The two tickets were open jaw IAD-CPH & ZRH-IAD cost appx. $1200 and the first $1000 was covered by my membership rewards. You spent it on 2 one-ways - 50k each? Judging from the cost, in COACH? If you had to, you had to, but as said above, there is much more value to those 100k reward points.
