Legit claims posting as goodwill
I recently contacted a hotel about my Plat Amenity points not posting. They have posted but the description is "Goodwill Starpoints Manual". This phrase seems to imply that although the points have been given, there was no real requirement.
In the past I've had other "Goodwill" posts which related to legitimate 500 points helpdesk claims.
I've never sought, nor been given any compensation, but I remember reading in other posts that multiple goodwill gesture points can influence the outcome of legitimate claims. Has anyone had actual experience of this or is it a FT myth?
