Thanks Lurker for getting back to me on this. I hope that you will follow-up with the hotel. Also---I do know that its tough to post the 500 if there is no bill, but this was at CHECK-in and there was no platinum amenity offer (e.g. 10 off minibar credit) which I would have actually preferred on a my weekend to more points in this case....this was refused by the hotel....
"we don't give those on free stays" according to the hotel.
