This is a problem I've been having for quite some time. When I book my flights through lufthansa.com, my status won't be pulled, I am only UAP until a check-in agent changes it manually. And even then only for the segment, not the reservation. And then it's always the same story: "But your status is in the reservation, see, here it says UAP", then I explain that it should read "UA*G" and tell them, where they can change it. Happens EVERYTIME. I am currently trying to have this resolved with the Online Support Desk at Lufthansa, but they take about a month to come up with a response like "Yes, we can confirm you entered your number correctly". I am beginning to think they want to limit the amount of people with status on board by not accepting there status in the first place. Unless you insist. But how much is your status worth in a situation like last week with all those volcano rebookings, when you can't get it into your record. Would love to hear from others about this, and I will start a new thread about it ...
