I've been to pretty much all the luxury hotels in Mumbai... and I must say... why hasn't anyone mentioned the Sahara Star?? If I remember correctly... one person was only coming for a day. It's right beside the domestic airport and a very nice hotel... mind you the outside looks like junk. It's got a indoor rainforest theme sort of going on... a cheesy but unique pyro/laser show every evening on the hour... an aquarium where gals in mermaid suits swim around at certain times!
My top 3.... Sahara... JW Marriott (Juhu) and Hyatt Regency. The Taj properties are nice and Oberoi.... yeah, but I would most certainly hit these 3 before the rest... But thats IMO.
