Why not simply go to Hertz.com and compare prices for different rental and drop off locations? Airports often have cheaper base rates, but have higher taxes and fees. When I go to LA, I pick up at the LAX Marriott and drop at the LAX airport location. In a short time, you can compare rates and total rental cost. Obviously, if you rent a SFO, then you have to pay to get to SFO, assuming you aren't picking up when you arrive on a flight.
