I'd argue that there are a few problems with T2, some of which could be fixed with a bit of thought and money. Access to the airside inter-terminal shuttle is a disgrace. Forcing people to wait outside to catch the landside inter-terminal shuttle (often requiring waits of up to 15 minutes, regardless of the GTAA schedule) qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment to our visitors during the winter months. The line-ups for check-in and US customs can be terrible, and the location of Canada customs for arriving passengers is not obvious. (When I arrive from the US, I usually see a dozen or so passengers miss it and continue on down towards gate U.) Also, the signage for connecting passengers is poor or non-existent.
But T2 isn't a dump. T1, on the other hand ...
