I'm very glad that you came in on this. What really bugged me when I got serious about reading my receipt, the name of the cashier on the receipt was that of a woman checker I know on sight. The person doing my order was a young male. So if anyone were to get in trouble it might be the woman!

Also the assistant manager was rude, very rude. No on bothered to call me by name although I have shopped in that store for over 13 years.

All this is why I think something rotten was cooking in the pot.

I won't give up on Tom Thumb. I think it is a wonderful company, but like any other company so much ill will can be generated by one rude employee.

I am carrying the receipts with me. When I next visit that store, I will attempt again to talk to the manager. He deserves a face to face meeting.

From now on I will refuse to sign my credit card slip until I have seen and read the full receipt. That way the excuse that it's 'too late' won't wash.

I was about one minute from loosing my famous Celtic temper when this happened. Most people would just go away mad and stay away.
