This is an interview that could only take place in Japan. And now we learn that JAL was "forced" into bankrupcy by the government. Weird statement for a government who has pumped huge sums of money into JAL.
So JAL keeps asking more subsidies from Japanese taxpayers. It's all the fault of these greedy bankers! As a non-Japan resident, I have no problem with Japanese subsidizing my flying on JL. But the uncertainty created by the lack of desire to change much at JAL, will not be attractive to premium pax.
