On the face it, it is the same as Domestic J service but with the Domestic J seats (40" legroom) NOT the international config B737-800s.

Bravo to Jet Airways for further confusing the flying public!
+1

Now there are, what, let me see... regular Y, regular J, Jet Lite, Konnect, and Konnect Select? And individual fare buckets in each of them? WAY TOO COMPLICATED.

What this means (the way I see it), though, are two things:

First, the negative ... no longer can we expect to fly in J seats when booked on metal that has premiere seating but marketed as Konnect (like DEL-MAA for me this morning, ^ btw for that !). Have to settle for the normal Y seats instead.

Second, the positive ... this is probably Jet's way of bringing back the J seats, and progressively move back to their original equipment configuration (retrofitting back the retrofitted seats ).

In substance, seems like a way to bring in the "premium economy" concept that has existed outside India for some time now. Though the difference is, overseas, it is economy seats with better food, whereas Konnect Select means economy food with better seats !
