I agree, they're daftly expensive. But when you realise you've been a bit of plank and forgotten to send something via email from the lounge then they're a godsend. In this case, I couldn't right the wrong from somewhere over Idaho but had to wait until the following afternoon. Which was a hassle and it would have been better had either a) remembered to do it from the lounge or b) got connected in the air. But there you go. Only a couple of people died.
Is there a page in High Life on the phone system? If anyone has one handy and could have a look for me, I'd be very grateful. Maybe there's, you know, someone I could call.
A family friend was sat over the aisle from Dame Elizabeth Hurley a few years ago on a flight back from, I think, ORD. She spent more than half the flight on the phone.
