Electronic Boarding Pass success?

I've had the chance to use the EBP a couple of times and had a few comments, observations and suggestions. I was wondering what others have experienced.

• My experience was PDX-BOS on March 22nd and PDX-SEA-IAH on April 20th. PDX-BOS and PDX-SEA worked, but on SEA-IAH it came back with an error and the gate agent had to enter me in manually
• Security does not keep the EBP reader machines turned on, so you have to wait for them to boot up before they can scan your EBP
• I have to have my Gold card out to enter the security express line at PDX, because the agent can’t read my status without having to look very closely at the EBP
• I have to leave my browser open to the EBP from the time I check in until the time I board my connecting flight therefore eliminating my ability to use my browser. If I close the browser, I have to go through the check in process again. There needs to be a way to download the EBP into a document and save it locally.

This could be a very cool and useful tool once they get the kinks worked out.
