ITA sofware was great because not a lot of people knew about it... correct?

Google taking it over will potentially open it to the masses, which essentially will lessen the chances of a great deal being found by those using the system.

I guess in that sense its bad, but maybe Google will make it better?

It seems everyone finds this unlikely.
