1. Yes. Jet's policy is much more restrictive, though (for HKG-India). You should confirm your allowance for a connecting itin with 9W.

2. It's not as bad as it used to be. You'll still have to make the transfer between airports/terminals, though. You'll have to clear immigration, collect your bags, then board the shuttle bus to the domestic terminal to check in for your HYD flight.
