Approximately January 23, 1977, probably BOS-EWR, after a seminar/job interview at Harvard during my last year of graduate school. My first flight ever was on United and as a student, I had already also flown TW (a lot) and LH. Then my job market travels introduced me to AA, Eastern, CO, PSA, and Piedmont in addition to DL, although I don't remember flying PanAm during this period and I'm pretty sure I managed to totally avoid Mohawk/Allegheny/USAir.
