I'm pretty floored by this thread. I've been a Mariott gold for about a decade, and also HH Diamond.

Most of my Mariott stays are at Courtyards, with a few Springhills, and RIs thrown in.

I have never been upgraded. I was given access to the lounge at the Grovesnor house, which was very nice.

But no upgrades. Never....
