A thread in 2006 mentions the points needed was 10,000 then. Why did this hotel jack up the number of points needed during the off season? Is this the hotel owner's way of saying they don't want points people staying at their hotel?

The devaluation PriorityClub enacted a few years ago was the mother of all devaluations. It was far, far worse (approximately 30% devaluation by my calculations) than the recent HHonors devaluation (about 20%). Numerous HIX went from 10K to 25K points per night. Unfortunate really because the program was good back then.
