BA72 is of particular interest to me, and I have no idea why it would be coming from AUH - its final destination is always MCT and then it turns around. It must mean that it was caught in AUH during its return flight.

Spot on. It left MCT early morning of the 16th and was in AUH until today. However not sure if it will leave Athens tonight as BA claim.
