Seriously, though, hasn't this been an issue for a while? The waitlist will eventually clear and notify you, but it's not immediate as it should be.
Not if they only release one "R" at a time and there's a delay...someone else could snag the seat. The disappearance of the waitlist on the second flight is more troubling.
