If it's a personal rental, this is correct. You're asking for trouble. If it's a corporate rental, then it's usually a different story. I've booked multiple vehicles simultaneously on occasion using a corporate CDP and then shown up myself with a couple of colleagues to drive them away or had co-workers pick-up the rentals independent of me being there. It also helps if management knows you at the location. Short of this and for personal/leisure rentals, have your friend get his/her own #1 Express or Gold account.
