I've suspected that they might be skimping on fresh air on flights for a while. Specifically, I can't take a red-eye to the Mainland (even just the West Coast) without getting the beginning of a migraine. I first thought that this would happen on any flight longer than 3 hours, but then I noticed that I'm usually worse off on HI-Mainland flights (especially the night ones) than on much longer international flights. I also noticed that it seems to happen more frequently when I fly on AA than on UA, and don't remember it happening at all on the few long flights I took on other airlines over the past two years (CP, AC, QF, BA).

I realize this is anecdotal info, but, after all, if the airlines have the option to regulate the fresh air intake at their will, then I bet AA is skimping on it, especially on HI flight where they skimp very visibly on everything else... Hey, they took away the magazines, the food on most coach flights, the CTO's, a bunch of AC's, and now they're being stingy even with fresh air... what next?
