Maui'd At Old Lahina Luau Wedding Grounds

When speaking of getting married in Hawaii i am speaking from experience--

My wife and I got married in June of 2008 at the wedding grounds at theOld Lahina Luau and it was just fantastic. They have absolutely wonderrful wedding grounds--lush, tropical, shaded, and right near the water. We could not have been more pleased. Plus the wedding coordinator and staff were gracious, professional, and seemed like family. What is even better is they can do both big and small weddings. We had a very intimate affair with just us and 10 family members who came with us to Maui to share in our magical day.

The travel channel rated Maui's Old Lahina Luau as one of the top 10 most romantic places in Hawaii to get married and we could not agree more.

We had our rehersal dinner at Lahina Grill (formerly David Paul's Lahina Grill)--and that was also the perfect location for a rehersal dinner. Excellent food, wine selection, and service.

While on Maui we stayed at the Ritz Carlton up in Kapalua. It was June and we had great sunny weather with very little rain except for a few brief afternoon showers.

For our "Honeymoon" we went over to Kauai and spent 5 nights at the Grand Hyatt. As nice as the Ritz was on Maui, it could not compare to the Grand Hyatt on Kauai. We have been to many places and my wife and I agree that the Grand Hyatt on Kauai stands among the very best. Do not hesitate to honeymoon at the Grand Hyatt Kauai.

In addition to the Grand Hyatt, for dining on Kauai we HIGHLY recommend ROY's in Poipu (very close to the Hyatt) as well as the Plantation Garden. Donderos at the Grand Hyat was also excellent if you do not want to leave the Grand Hyatt (and you won't).

What is even better...is if you get married and honeymoon in Hawaii you get to keep going back to celebrate your anniversary.

We are heading back to Maui and Kauai this June!

This time we are staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui (4 nights) and the Grand Hyatt Kauai (5 nights).

While we enjoyed the Ritz, we prefer the sunnier and drier weather down at the Hyatt Regency Maui. Its also closer to Lahina and we intend to go back to both the Old Lahina Luau and to Lahina Grill. Will also be going to check out Mama's Fish House.

Best wishes and enjoy getting married in Hawaii....its truly paradise!
