Don't quite agree - Jet only favors VIP's and the like if they are pushed to this, otherwise they are pretty transparent.

However, at BOM airport (international) some years ago, I have found the gate check-in characters (not senior, and mostly the young unsupervised women) allowing their F+F into the biz cabin, or later arranging with FA's to move forward into the J cabin from their Y seats.

If current airport management at BOM is around, this does not happen.
