FYI, they are watching the Country Music Awards. This is a big-deal award show. Now, it may not appeal to you. OTOH, neither might the Tony's or Oscars or Emmys. I suspect that the club room management is thinking of what has broad-based appeal. I may not like baseball, but wouldn't be offended to see the World Series on TV in a club lounge. Good grief, if you are offended by the CMAs playing in a club lounge, I suggest you carry your own personal entertainment system. Oh, and BTW, I am sitting in the comfort of my living room watching that same show and thoroughly enjoying the music and the "cowboy hats." Some great talent out there.^
I'm not offended by anything playing in the club room. This isn't a question of "offense." I'd be shocked if the demographic of airline club rooms included a majority of those who like country music. I'm not, in the least, a sports fan, but I'm certainly not offended when sports is on the club room televisions. I wasn't offended that the Country Music Awards was on. I was annoyed that it was on so loud that it was impossible to escape.
