Actually, on the low end of the fare on QM2, think of it this way: you have your own room for a week aboard the QM2, where all meals, drinks and facilities are included. On the high end of the fare, you get more amenities and a bigger room (outside, higher deck, etc.). $4295US is typical for First Class airline fare TATL. With the way some airlines charge a cheap fare but then hit you with fuel surcharges and security fees as add-ons, the QM2 fares are actually quite competitive.
