It's a little bit of a tougher call if you're *G.

You get priority checkin, extra baggage, priority boarding and lounge access already even on a coach ticket.

So the incremental benefit is inflight comfort for a very short flight, bonus miles, and a modest meal or snack.

Balanced against that is that the premium for business is also modest as well.

I'd say a non-Star Gold with a penchant for comfort would find it a worthwhile expense. A Star Gold on the other hand, possibly not.
