I am surprised by the feedback but I suppose management has made any policies on this as yet. The first challenge for BA is to repatriate all pax to their home destinations without disrupting booked pax who want to travel. I wonder if the arrangements BA has with certain charter companies may kick in to repatriate these pax. The number of pax stranded in New York and HKG must be sufficient to justify additional flights from these locations.
There is no difference between award tickets and paid tickets in terms of bumping. Elite status counts more. OCLI is the best way to secure a seat subject to airspace being re-opened.
