They aren't but it is easy for someone to make that mistake since they are partners with several *A members. My understanding, however, is that those deal are negotiated directly between the airlines and EK has no official relationship with the *A as an organization which is why (for example) you can book at EK award ticket using UA miles but the redemption rates are quite different than when booking a *A award.
