Well, if you put on your 'read between the lines' glasses on, it has been obliquely referred to in some posts above (eg mine at #682).

Clearly, the airline industry is not going to be entirely bankrupt as a result of this. If most carriers are severely affected to the point of threatening their survival, there will have to be intervention, including financial intervention, by public authorities, which will require EU action.

If, OTOH, the result is merely to provoke the downfall of a few weak and poorly managed carriers, well perhaps this is not in itself a bad thing for the longer term health of the air transport industry.
