Eh sure, and we ride elephants to work, use carrier pigeons to post to FT and have pigs clean up after us because India has more cellphones than toilets (yeah, the UN said so in a report, and you all saw it in Slumdog Millionaire, which for all the visible crap is much less crappy than "Kisna" was).
You'll get electricity all right - and reliable too. What you will not get is 110v 40Hz like in the US, it is 220v 50 Hz out here.

Assuming it runs on electricity, getting a reliable feed of some in India is known to be a problem. Idea: Go to Shimla or some other hill station where maybe you won't need it! That's what I want to visit. A hill station. After seeing Kisna, I'm fascinated by the mountain people.
