It varies, we sometimes get schedule changes a month out as we bid our schedules. Other times, we may find out just as we're showing up for our trip, so it just depends. I don't answer my phone from United or read their emails on my days off, so I don't find out anything until I arrive for my trip.
As for aircraft swaps, again, we are pay protected for our trip, so if they drop our plane and put in a different one, then they'll reassign us to go somewhere else, put us on a phone standby period, or deadhead us someplace where we pick up the remainder of our trip.
