You paid less then $100 to stay smack in the middle of downtown of a major metropolitan, where the real estate prices are higher than many US cities, were you really expecting 5 star service?

It sounds like you wanted a quite hotel, then why did you pick the old city? that's like staying in Brooklyn and expecting birds to be signing when you wake up. The area you've stayed is know for the old style shopping and entertainment, if you wanted modern you should have stayed in the Tianhe district.

And hard to walk? please, if you're too stupid to read a map like everyone else, then use a freaking GPS next time.

And bout the bill thing, she was doing you a big favor by not escalating the matter, they would have done the same thing at the Westin, unless of course spending half the say filling police forms is your idea of a tourist experience, you've got a fake bill, it happens, if you think it came from the HSBC, best to just go back to the HSBC and deal with them. The question should be wether the hotel staff rude to you at any point? or dose your idea of customer service involve everyone bending over backwards and break rules just for you.
