Tell me, when was the last time you were there? Now, I've never been to Afghanistan but I have been to Iraq and walked the city streets. You are right, there are a lot of people that want us to leave. But, there are even more people that fear the day that we leave since they know that we are the only thing holding the country from going over the cliff.
Now, as I said, that was Iraq and not Afg so if you have some first hand experience from Afg that you would like to share that would counter that then please feel free.
Same everywhere we go fight a war. People cooperate, and their life expectancy in our absence is dubious. That's why we've had waves of Vietnamese, Laotians, Bosnians and others in the USA. People hitch their wagons to our star and then we dump them. So, yeh, we've CREATED the delicate situation. The whole place was pretty peaceful when our former president ordered our troops in. Had been for about 12 years. But, yeh, I guess it is SO hard for us to stand that kind of thing.
