Regarding 757-200 exit row seats in Economy +, does United open up for selection 24hrs prior to departure? I am interested in E+ seats in row 9 which are exit row seats which are currently unavailable for a furture flight from DEN-PHX. I realize these seats could already be selected by others, but if not, does United open exit row seats up prior to departure for selection? Thanks!

To add, I have no status, and would have to purchase E+ to have access to exit row seating. However, at this time, using the economy plus purchase option, it appears such seats in the exit row are unavailable. Though they could be currently occupied by status passengers, I am wondering if they are simply bocked till day of departure even for passengers willing to purchase E+, and if so, do available remaining exit row seats open up?
