What is your advice to someone who received 8 VIPOW's in early January '02 with expiration date of 1/31/02 becuase (as EXP agent told me) the printing co. messed up?

I had been told to mail them in and they would be replaced, however I have not done this as yet. I know that several others received these certs. with the wrong dates as well - so is AA now telling me taht in a "cost cutting move" unless I use these by 1/31 - too bad??? That seems very unfair.
