Sorry to dig up an old thread, but why on earth should the charge for a no-show ever be more than the agreed rate for the stay? If the hotel agreed to accept a $X or Y points or a promotional night in exchange for a night in their hotel, why is the hotel entitled to more than that simply because the guest never actually checks in? The hotel should get what it has bargained for, nothing more and nothing less. What am I missing?
