Escalting this case to the policy would probably be the worst thing to do! Do not do this. It
could result in endless red-tape...
If you can't get rid of the apparent fake note somewhere else (=illegal as soon as you know!), just bin it.
The front desk agent wouldn't call the policy just for one (allegedly) fake note - they are way to common in China. However, if you'd tried to pay cash and c 1/4 of the notes are being marked as fake, you'd have a big problem
