A few weeks ago I was searching for BE round-trip to Asia, searching by miles. When I got to the options to select the first flight, there were several options that said they'd require over 700K miles (don't remember exact amount). Out of curiosity, I selected one of those and a return segment (neither of which was convoluted routings). When I got the next screen, it corrected itself to something in the 350K mile range. Probably one of the few times when the confirmed mileage required actually decreased!

Never paid more than 100K for an award seat myself, wonder how long that will last.
