In Summary I received $600 in Travel Credit, was given a Hotel (Custom Hotel--very interesting Boutique Hotel close to airport-I Really enjoyed it) and vouchers for Breakfast.

I had never hear of getting a vdb once seated on the plane either... Due to the extenuating circumstancees and an unhappy family they were glad to give the VDB to someone willing I guess...

i didn't realise you can still VDB once sitting on the plane- I usually give up once im in my seat. Good to know there is always hope...
