Are there a fair number of open seats? If so, you're chances are probably pretty good. I've been upgraded on this segment several times.

Yes, it is. In fact, you're at the bottom of the waitlist. You are below any Plat, Gold or Silver elites that are currently on or added to the waitlist prior to departure. The only people you are in front of are non-elites that were added to the waitlist after you.

Yes, you earn miles for the H fare you purchased. In this case 100% RDM and 100% EQM.
