I have the Schwab Signature Visa but I'm possibly looking to replace the Platinum Sky Miles Amex, especially if I decide it's no longer worth accumulating Sky Miles.

Already have SPG but haven't been using it much and don't see paying Sheraton/Westin prices in many overseas locations (travel is mostly leisure).

Thinking of switching to a Star Alliance carrier but not sure yet. All depends on whether the awards situation with DL gets worse.

So I understand that 2% rewards for Schwab is better than any other miles or points program (if I understand the thrust of the posts in this thread correctly).

But I did make some special big charges on the Platinum Amex last year, resulting not just in miles per dollar spent but a couple of 10K MQM milage boosts.

Are there any other cards which offer similar bonuses for hitting certain spending levels?
