I can think of..off the top of my head, at least six different circumstances where members have reported here and by my experience consistently been able to benefit and/or to request modifications to stays and/or point accural by making a submission to HH, all of which were technically have not permissble by the HH T& C.

Surely the modification to the original booking you claimed to have had success with was also against their policy.. well lucky you

And to be precise, the other poster, my relative and me twice = four instances that I am aware of such "luck" and that is enough for me to believe that success is more likely than some here are wont to report.
