Yes I agree... but BA cannot deny they have no Liability for pilferage of items in their care.
I was writing those 'denial of liability letters' on behalf of airlines for several years... and the only thing that makes (any) big company sit up and deal with a pilferage problem is when that issue costs them money.
AMS, CDG and MIA used to be horrendous for pilferage, until enough fuss was made and (in particular with CDG) security monitoring was improved.
